Responsibilities:

1. Network design and implementation: Design and implement scalable and reliable network architectures to support Google's services and products. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, develop network designs, and ensure seamless integration with existing infrastructure. Configure and deploy network devices, including routers, switches, load balancers, and firewalls.
2. Network optimization and performance: Continuously monitor network performance and proactively identify areas for optimization and improvement. Analyze network traffic patterns, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to enhance network performance, reliability, and security. Conduct capacity planning to anticipate future network requirements.
3. Network security and compliance: Implement and maintain network security measures to protect against unauthorized access, threats, and vulnerabilities. Monitor network security logs, conduct security audits, and enforce compliance with internal policies and industry best practices. Collaborate with the security team to implement and test network security controls.

• Network engineering expertise: Strong knowledge of network protocols and technologies, including TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, VLANs, VPNs, and SDN. Proficiency in network routing and switching concepts, network security principles, and load balancing techniques.
• Troubleshooting skills: Demonstrated experience in network troubleshooting methodologies and tools. Ability to analyze network traffic, diagnose issues, and implement solutions in a timely manner. Experience with packet capture and analysis tools is beneficial.
